Cursing his carelessness, Klaus didn't let it show as he moved further into the room. His gaze drifted from the drawings to her face, his features angry but unreadable at the same time.
I woke up alone, and I came looking for you.
Alone, weak, confused...and she came looking for him. Not Elijah or Rebekah, with whom she got on splendidly...but him.
Instead of snapping, he moved over to her, and very deliberately reached over to pick up the sketches from the top of the desk before spreading his arms.
"Well...here I am." he replied, his voice quiet and equally guarded. "What do you want?"
